Cookie Policy

Effective date: 13 September 2026 · Last updated: 13 September 2026 · Published by SOFTSHORE TECHNOLOGY LTD

1. The short version 2. The public site (charttrigger.com) 3. The application (app.charttrigger.com) 4. What we do not use 5. Your choices 6. Changes to this policy 7. Contact
The short version: the public site stores two small preferences in your browser and nothing else. The application sets one cookie, needed to keep you signed in. Neither includes a third-party tracker, analytics pixel, or advertising identifier.

1. The short version

NameWherePurposeTypeDuration
ct.themePublic siteRemembers whether you chose dark or light modelocalStorage, first-partyUntil you clear it or choose again
ct.exit.v1Public siteAvoids repeating the "before you go" offer within a week, or after you respond to itlocalStorage, first-partyUntil you clear it, or it self-expires after a week
Session cookieApplicationKeeps you signed in between page loadsHTTP-only, first-party cookieUntil you sign out, or it expires

2. The public site (charttrigger.com)

The marketing site you are reading now sets no cookies at all. It uses your browser's localStorage — a first-party storage area only this site can read — for exactly two things: your light/dark theme choice, and whether you have already seen or dismissed the exit-intent offer, so it is not shown to you again unnecessarily. Both are purely functional: nothing is transmitted to us or anyone else because of them, and clearing your browser's site data removes them completely.

3. The application (app.charttrigger.com)

Once you sign in, the application sets a single session cookie: HttpOnly (unreadable to any script, including ours), SameSite=Lax, and sent only to app.charttrigger.com over an encrypted connection. It carries a signed session identifier and nothing else — no advertising or cross-site tracking value. It exists purely so you do not have to sign in again on every page load, and is deleted when you sign out. Sessions are also visible and individually revocable from your account settings.

4. What we do not use

  • no third-party analytics (Google Analytics or similar);
  • no advertising or retargeting pixels;
  • no social-media embed trackers; and
  • no cross-site or cross-device identifiers of any kind.

If that ever changes, this policy and the site's behaviour will change with it, and — where the law requires — we will ask for your consent first.

5. Your choices

Because nothing here is a tracking cookie, there is no consent banner: everything stored is either strictly necessary (the session cookie, so you can be signed in at all) or a first-party preference you can clear yourself at any time, through your browser's site data settings, without affecting your ability to use the Service. Clearing localStorage only resets your theme choice and the exit-intent reminder; clearing the session cookie signs you out.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if what we store changes. We will post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date.

7. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form. See also our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data more broadly.
